The Indian School hosted the annual inter school science and innovation conclave, InnoNation'26, on campus on 25 August 2026. Held under the banner "Momentum: Shaping Technology", the third edition celebrated creativity, collaboration, curiosity, and problem-solving among young minds. The event brought together 16 participating school teams from across Delhi-NCR, each showcasing its brightest students across science, technology, artificial intelligence, design, photography, branding, and the arts.
The distinguished line-up of participating institutions included The Mother's International School, St Columba's School, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, Springdales School, Pusa Road, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, Tagore International School, East of Kailash, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar, Lotus Valley International School, Noida, Birla Vidya Niketan, Sadhu Vaswani International School for Girls, Bluebells School International, Don Bosco School, Alaknanda, Gyan Bharati School, Salwan Public School, The Indian School - Second Shift, and The Indian School.
The distinguished panels of judges brought rich professional experience, technical expertise, and creative insight to the conclave. Among them were Mr Aarush Mahajan, alumnus and former Head Boy, Co-Founder of Neoviz Technologies and technology entrepreneur associated with Kepel Inc; Ms Priyanka Singh, alumna of IIT Kanpur and IIM Calcutta, Co-Founder of XcelGrad and leader in strategy, product management, and digital transformation; Mr Akshit Panwar, cybersecurity scholar and former Vice President of the SCInite Society; Mr Aaryan Gupta, alumnus and hackathon champion; Mr Sahil Sarna, alumnus of The Indian School and Stony Brook University, software engineer, and AI/data science specialist; Ms Sejal Gupta, software development enthusiast and Head of the Rapid Programming Hub at JIIT; Mr Tribhuvan Tiwari, Deputy Photo Editor at Outlook and formerly with India Today; Mr Shamit Sharma, alumnus, B.Com (Hons) student at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, and corporate marketing intern at LG Electronics; Mr Krunal Patel, Computer Science and Mathematics student at IIIT-Delhi, technologist, and entrepreneur; Ms Ashmin Malhotra, former Head Girl and accomplished quizzer; Ms Deepanshi Moitra, former Co-curricular Captain, debater, and quizzer training in Respiratory and Critical Care Therapy; and Ms Mansha Dwivedi, Economics undergraduate at Delhi Technological University and creative design leader. Panels comprising teachers and students also evaluated selected events, lending rigour and inspiration to the conclave.
The day began with a soulful rendition of a motivational song by the School choir, a cherished tradition at The Indian School, setting a tone of serenity, purpose, and optimism. The School was privileged to welcome Dr (Ms) Nayana Goradia, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Governors. Ms Vishnu Priya Rao, Vice President of the PTA, and members of the PTA.
Principal, Ms Tania Joshi, addressed the gathering with warmth and conviction. Welcoming the participating schools and dignitaries, she reaffirmed the host School's commitment to nurturing critical thinking, collaboration, and inventive problem-solving. Her remarks underscored the value of such platforms in preparing young minds for a future shaped by technology, creativity, and purposeful innovation.
A visually compelling introductory film offered a glimpse into the vision and vibrancy of InnoNation'26, reflecting the creative and technical acumen of Indianites while building anticipation. Anchors Vansh Sharma (XII) and Nyasa Sharma (XI) guided the inaugural proceedings and introduced the wide spectrum of competitions. Vice Principal Dr Anu Singh then formally declared InnoNation'26 open, encouraging every participant to question boldly, create fearlessly, and let innovation take centre stage.
Following the inaugural ceremony, the campus transformed into a hive of activity as competitions unfolded across multiple venues. In the flagship event, "Innovation Odyssey (Senior & Junior)", students designed impactful solutions under the theme "Innovating for an Inclusive Future: Innovating Solutions to Break Barriers". Senior teams presented working prototypes culminating in a live pitch judged by Mr Aarush Mahajan and Ms Priyanka Singh. The Junior Category, judged by Mr Akshit Panwar and Mr Aaryan Gupta, challenged younger innovators to solve everyday problems through technology. In the Senior Category, The Indian School secured First Place, followed by Delhi Public School, Mathura Road in Second, and Tagore International School, East of Kailash in Third. In the Junior Category, Tagore International School, East of Kailash claimed First Place, while The Indian School and Lotus Valley International School, Noida, secured Second and Third Places respectively.
The fast-paced quiz, "Neuron Knockout", tested participants' intellect and reflexes through rapid-fire rounds and visual tasks. Judged by Ms Ashmin Malhotra and Ms Deepanshi Moitra, The Mother's International School clinched First Place, followed by Springdales School, Pusa Road in Second, and St Columba's School in Third.
"Prompt Craft", a three-round challenge encompassing an AI website sprint, an AI-assisted debate, and a mystery AI task, demanded technical agility and ethical AI use. Judges Mr Sahil Sarna and Ms Sejal Gupta evaluated prompt-engineering strategies and execution. Tagore International School, East of Kailash secured First Place, followed by Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan in Second, and The Mother's International School in Third.
In "Freeze the Frame", participants interpreted a surprise theme on-site within an allotted time. Judged by seasoned photojournalist Mr Tribhuvan Tiwari, Tagore International School, East of Kailash secured First Place, with Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan in Second, and St Columba's School in Third.
"Artist Algorithm" required participants to translate on-the-spot scientific concepts into A3 poster art, evaluated for scientific accuracy, visual clarity, and creativity. Birla Vidya Niketan secured the First Place, followed by Lotus Valley International School, Noida in Second, and The Indian School in Third.
In "Pixel Paradigm", finalists responded to a surprise brief spanning graphic and 3D design centred on futurism and social awareness. Judged by Ms Mansha Dwivedi, Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan secured First Place, while The Indian School earned Second Place.
"Quantum Core Branding" challenged teams to build end-to-end brand identities for futuristic products. Judged by Mr Shamit Sharma and Mr Krunal Patel, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road secured First Place, followed by Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan in Second, and Tagore International School, East of Kailash in Third.
In the online filmmaking event, "Cinematic Catalyst", teams submitted short films exploring the theme "HUMAN.EXE", examining the intersection of technology and human emotion. Evaluated for narrative structure and technical execution, Tagore International School, Vasant Vihar secured First Place, with Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan taking Second Place.
At the valedictory ceremony, Principal Ms Tania Joshi addressed the gathering and announced the results. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the dedication of participants, teachers, judges, and organisers.
InnoNation'26 reaffirmed The Indian School's commitment to fostering scientific enquiry and creative problem-solving, inspiring young learners to harness technology purposefully for the future.
