CBSE teacher workshop on AI in Education
On 29 August 2025, a capacity-building session for educators was held at the India Habitat Centre, on the theme “AI Integration in School Education”. It explored the expanding role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping teaching and learning practices, highlighted practical approaches for classroom use, and emphasised the importance of equipping teachers with the skills to guide students in a technology-driven future. The session was attended by Ms Simranjeet Kaur and Ms Chayanika Mehrotra.
The speakers emphasised the value of introducing AI concepts early, through simple and learner-friendly methods so that students gradually build confidence in working with emerging technologies. They also underlined the need to prepare learners for an AI-centred future by equipping them with skills such as critical thinking, analytical reasoning, data literacy, and ethical awareness. Another important point was the call to align traditional teaching methods with innovative AI-based strategies in order to enrich classroom experiences and improve outcomes.
The session concluded with the reminder that by starting early and following structured approaches, schools can nurture future-ready learners who engage with technology responsibly and creatively.
Overall, the session was an enriching experience for educators, offering practical insights into how schools can respond to the fast-changing demands of the 21st century and help students remain relevant in an AI-driven world.
