Class 9 on excursion to the National Museum

The Indian School organised an educational excursion to the National Museum for the students of Class IX on 20th May 2026. Accompanied by 5 teachers, the students embarked on this enriching journey with great enthusiasm and curiosity. The visit offered a unique opportunity to experience India's rich cultural, artistic, and historical heritage beyond the confines of the classroom.

As they explored the museum, the students were captivated by its remarkable collection of sculptures, artefacts, Buddhist art, Indian bronze sculptures, and exhibits reflecting the traditions of Jainism. Each gallery provided valuable insights into the diverse cultural and spiritual legacy of the nation. The Harappan Civilisation Gallery emerged as a major highlight, showcasing exquisite terracotta ceramics and fascinating exhibits from the archaeological site of Rakhigarhi, enabling students to connect with one of the world's earliest urban civilisations.

The intricate wood-carving traditions of Odisha and Nepal impressed visitors with their exceptional craftsmanship and artistic excellence. Equally engaging were the Jewellery Gallery and the interactive 3D models of India's iconic monuments, which brought history and architecture to life in an innovative and immersive manner.

The excursion proved to be both educational and inspiring, broadening the students' understanding of India's glorious past while nurturing an appreciation for its cultural heritage. The visit concluded on a memorable note, leaving the students with valuable knowledge, enriching experiences, and lasting memories.
