Math workshop for Middle School students at Hindu College
NMRC organised Mathematics Comes Alive, an interactive and enriching programme designed for the students of classes VIII and IX. Held at Hindu College, Delhi University on 4 December 2025, the workshop provided an engaging academic environment where students explored mathematical ideas through hands'-on learning. Facilitated by resource persons Ms Samridhi Mehta and Ms Seema Paliwal, the sessions enabled participants to discover mathematical concepts, theorems and results through practical activities and working models. Fifteen students from classes VIII and IX attended the workshop in the supervision of Ms Jayanti Dwivedi.
Through the programme, students enthusiastically participated in a range of activities, including the verification of triangle theorems, exploration of trigonometric properties, understanding quadrilateral characteristics, performing integer operations using apparatus, working with models based on arithmetic progression, and engaging with algebraic identities through visual tools. These carefully designed tasks supported conceptual clarity, encouraged inquiry-based learning and strengthened long-term retention. The initiative successfully brought mathematics to life, offering students an enjoyable, meaningful and immersive learning experience beyond the classroom.
