Mathematics is more than just numbers, it is a universal language that fosters clarity of thought, logical reasoning, and analytical problem-solving. It sharpens the mind, disciplines thinking, and equips learners with tools to navigate the world rationally. As aptly stated, "Mathematics is the music of reason; to succeed in Mathability is to create a symphony of numerical brilliance".
On 19 July 2025, 8 students of The Indian School participated in 'Mathability', an inter school Mathematics talent test organised by Gyan Bharati School, which aimed at recognising and nurturing mathematical talent among school students. This intellectually stimulating competition was a celebration of numerical dexterity that aims to challenge and inspire young minds to reach new heights in mathematical thinking.
The two-hour test comprised a 100-mark paper based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), covering a wide range of mathematical concepts. The students who represented our School were:
Class VI: Neil Assudaney and Sanchay Kumar
Class IX: Gitansh Taneja and Jayesh Chopra
Class XI: Kushagra Rai and Taanish Diwan
Class XII: Pragyan Medhi and Akshat Singh Yadav
The participation reflects not only the students' academic strength but also their enthusiasm for mathematical exploration beyond the classroom. This test provided students a valuable platform to showcase their talent, develop confidence, and engage with peers in a spirit of healthy competition. The result is awaited.
