Mentorship session on Innovation by class 10 students for their younger peers of classes 7 and 8

As a part of the Science Mentorship Ladder initiative, an interactive session titled "AI, Innovation and the Importance of Participation" was conducted on Monday, 18 May 2026, for the students of Classes VII and VIII. The session was conducted by Aaryan Sehgal (X A) and Arnavjeet Singh (X E) as a part of the peer mentorship programme at School, which encourages senior students to guide and inspire their juniors through collaborative learning. The workshop aimed to encourage students to think creatively, participate actively, and understand the growing role of innovation and artificial intelligence in solving real-world problems.

The session began with a discussion on everyday challenges and how innovation starts with identifying problems and finding practical solutions. Through interactive examples, students were introduced to the concepts of innovation and the difference between creativity and innovation, as well as various forms of innovation, including product, process, and social innovation. The importance of developing a problem-solving mindset and future-ready skills was also highlighted. The speakers also emphasised the importance of participating in competitions, projects, and extracurricular activities for building confidence, teamwork, communication, and creative thinking. Students were encouraged to overcome the fear of failure, remain curious, and learn through experimentation and collaboration.

A highlight of the session was a live demonstration of projects developed by the students, including "NeuroFront", an AI-powered stress monitoring product and platform. Students were also introduced to live demonstrations of advanced AI models such as GPT 5.5 and Google Veo, showcasing the latest developments in artificial intelligence and media generation. The session further included live demonstrations of prompting using V0, where students learned how different prompts yield different AI-generated results and how prompts can be optimised for clearer, more accurate outputs.

The session concluded with an inspiring message encouraging students to think differently, participate confidently, and use innovation to create positive change in society. Overall, the workshop proved to be highly engaging, informative, and motivating for the students.
