Workshop for classes 11 and 12 on career opportunities in the Social Sciences
EUREKA Students’ Meet on Emerging Careers in Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences 2025 was organised at The Indian School on 14 October 2025, in collaboration with Jitin Chawla’s Centre for Career Development. The event was planned for the students of classes XI and XII (Humanities) and also saw enthusiastic participation from the students of Tagore International School.
The session was moderated by Mr Jitin Chawla, Founder and Director of the Centre for Career Development, who led a lively and insightful discussion on emerging career opportunities in the fields of Humanities, Arts and the Social Sciences.
On offer was an in-depth perspective on the dynamic field of public policy, explaining its scope, relevance and growing importance in shaping governance and social change. Teh speaker detailed the academic pathways, internship opportunities and essential skills required to excel in this sector, while also sharing his personal career journey, making his talk both relatable and motivating. He encouraged students to harness creativity, analytical thinking and digital literacy to carve out a unique niche in today’s interconnected world.
A second speaker enlightened the audience about higher education opportunities in New Zealand, elaborating on its globally acclaimed universities, diverse courses, admission procedures, visa processes and post-study work prospects. Her presentation offered students a clear and practical understanding of international education pathways and the advantages of pursuing studies abroad.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging with the speakers through thought-provoking questions on topics such as Museumology, Digital Marketing, Advertising and Social Impact Careers. The enthusiastic responses from the panellists made the discussion vibrant, informative and inspiring.
The event proved to be a truly enriching experience, broadening students’ horizons and motivating them to explore diverse, unconventional and globally relevant career paths with curiosity and confidence.
