On 8 August 2025, students from classes V, VI and VII, accompanied by their teachers attended an engaging book discussion at the Partition Museum. The session was conducted by author, Ms Samina Mishra, who presented her recently published book Roop and the River Crossing.
Ms Mishra presented a captivating reading of select excerpts, sparking curiosity and interest among the students. Set against the backdrop of historical events, the story offered young readers a unique perspective on themes of courage, hope and resilience. After the reading, the students interacted with the author, asked questions and shared their reflections on the story.
The event concluded with a book signing session, during which Ms Samina Mishra personally signed copies purchased by students and teachers. The visit proved to be an enriching experience that encouraged reading and deepened the students’ awareness of history.
