Classes 5-8 visit the 6th INTACH Utsav'26

On Friday, 30 January 2026, a group of 15 students from classes 5 to 8 visited the 6th INTACH Utsav 2026, held at INTACH, Lodhi Estate. The visit was organised with the aim of helping students understand and appreciate India’s rich cultural and craft heritage.

The students participated in a guided walkthrough of the Utsav, conducted by the HCCD Division of INTACH, and also visited the conservation laboratory, where they learnt about the preservation of architectural and material heritage. They explored various rare craft stalls showcasing traditional arts nurtured through generations. A major highlight of the visit was the hands'-on craft workshops, during which the students observed and interacted with artisans practising Molela craft, glass bead and bangle making, clay pottery, Lippan art, kite making, Kagzipura handmade paper making, and Zenzula musical instruments. These activities provided students with an insight into the skill, effort, and cultural significance behind traditional crafts.

The visit was both educational and enriching, offering students a meaningful opportunity to connect with India’s living craft traditions. The INTACH Utsav proved to be an inspiring experience that enhanced the students’ respect for artisans, heritage conservation, and cultural diversity.
