Earth Day celebrations across the classes

School buzzed with environmental awareness on 22 April, to observe Earth Day as students from Pre school to class XII participated in a variety of activities centred around the theme, "Save and Restore Our Beloved Mother Earth". 

The day commenced with a unified pledge by the entire School, echoing a commitment to environmental protection. Students of senior classes carried out an awareness drive outside the School gates. Following this, different age groups engaged in creative and educational activities.

- Pre-School: The youngest learners embarked on a ‘Nature's Art Adventure’, crafting adorable leafy animal creations, fostering a love for nature from a young age.

- Pre-Primary: The focus for Pre primary was ‘Little Hands Can Save the Planet’. They expressed their ideas through colourful posters, showcasing the power of individual action.

- Class 1: Taking responsibility for their surroundings, class I actively participated in a ‘Trash Clean up’ initiative, demonstrating the importance of keeping the environment clean.

- Class 2: Inspired by the beauty of nature, class II students created their ‘Nature's Crown’ project, using natural materials.

- Class 3: Building miniature ecosystems, class III students crafted terrariums using soil, sand and plants, learning about the delicate balance in nature.

- Class 4: Turning trash into treasure, grade IV students made collages with a purpose. Their collages used waste materials and focused on the theme ‘Save Mother Earth’, delivering an impactful message.

- Class 5: Looking towards a brighter future, grade V students expressed their hope through posters and slogans on the theme ‘Hoping for the Rising Sun’.

- Class 6: Focusing on practical solutions, class VI students used posters and slogans to raise awareness on ‘Ways to Reduce Waste’, encouraging their peers to adopt sustainable habits.

- Classes 7 & 8: Delving deeper, classes VII and VIII showcased their creativity and environmental understanding by composing self-written poems titled ‘Nature Our Saviour’.

- Classes 9 & 10: Senior students tackled a pressing issue: plastic pollution. They used comic strips as a storytelling medium to raise awareness.

- Classes 11 & 12: Demonstrating a sophisticated understanding of environmental challenges, classes XI and XII participated in an essay writing competition on ‘Carbon Credits or Carbon Offset’.


This Earth Day celebration proved to be a day of learning, action, and creativity. Students across all levels enthusiastically participated in the activities, which instilled a sense of environmental responsibility and inspired them to become stewards of our planet.
