Honour at DPS RK Puram Math competition
MATSOC, the Mathematical Society of Delhi Public School R.K. Puram, held its annual inter-school event, “The Mathematical Crusade”, on 19 July 2025. The competition brought together passionate young mathematicians from classes VI to XII and gave them a great opportunity to test their skills and push their limits.
The event included a variety of interesting competitions. In the event “Math-o-Kalendar”, Yashvardhan Saini (class VII) and Seana Kundu (Class VIII) bagged the Third Position for their creative calendar for July 2025 designed using mathematical concepts and shapes. For example, their design for 22 July was themed on Pi Approximation Day. “Modeil Mathematica” asked students to dress up as iconic mathematicians and bring history to life. Saiyan Nagpal (VI), Ish Jadwani (VII), and Aaryamann Kapoor (VIII) presented mathematical models inspired by thinkers like Euclid and Ramanujan, blending theatre and mathematics. “Symphonies of Math” had students from classes IX and X adding rhythm to mathematical ideas.
In the “Pioneers Quiz”, Manan Virmani (XI) and Aarav Bansal (XI) showcased their quick thinking and wide knowledge. “Brainwave Blitz” tested problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork in an interactive written round. Tanmay Gupta (IX) and Palak Garg (XII) took on the challenge with energy and focus.
The event was a celebration of logic, imagination, and enthusiasm for mathematics. It gave students a platform not only to learn and compete, but also to enjoy the beauty of mathematics beyond textbooks. “The Mathematical Crusade” ended on a high note, leaving participants inspired and eager to explore more in the world of numbers.
