Peer Mentorship session in Physics for classes 6 and 7

On 28 April 2026, a peer mentorship workshop titled "Light in Action" was successfully conducted under the guidance of senior Physics teacher, Ms Meenakshi Purohit. The initiative aimed to simplify and demonstrate key concepts of light through engaging, hands'-on activities, fostering a spirit of collaborative learning among the participants.

Students of class X took the lead as mentors, organising themselves into pairs at various activity stations. Each group demonstrated a specific phenomenon, including "Reflection", "Refraction", "Dispersion", "Scattering of Light", and "Total Internal Reflection". Their approach focused on interactive learning, in which they not only conducted experiments but also encouraged active participation and questioning from the younger students.

The students of Classes VI and VII attended the workshop in great enthusiasm. The sessions proved to be highly engaging, as the younger learners asked thoughtful questions and connected scientific concepts to real-life situations. This interaction reflected a deep level of interest and helped the Class X mentors strengthen their own conceptual clarity and communication skills.

The peer learning environment created a comfortable space for dialogue, making complex scientific ideas more accessible and enjoyable. Overall, the workshop received very positive feedback from both the participants and the mentors. It proved to be an enriching experience that successfully fostered curiosity and a love for science within the school community.
