On 9 May 2025, The Indian School celebrated Recognition Day for the academic year 2024–25. The occasion honoured the perseverance and accomplishments of students in classes VI to XII across academics, co-curricular activities and sports.
The event was attended by the Chairperson of the School.Managing Committee Ms Brinda Goradia Shroff, Principal Ms Tania Joshi, Vice-Principal Dr Anu Singh, Head Teacher-Primary Ms Vandana Tiwari, Vice President- PTA Ms Tina Kapoor, members of the PTA, and proud parents, all of whom came together to celebrate excellence.
Mrigakshi Dhar (10A) and Vansh Sharma (11A) served as the event’s articulate hosts. The programme began on a high note with a rousing performance by the School choir, whose motivational song created a charged and uplifting atmosphere.
In her welcome address, Principal Ms Joshi reflected on the theme of the year, “I am the change I want to see”, encouraging students to be catalysts for positive transformation. She also acknowledged the vital role played by parents and educators in guiding students towards success.
Students were recognised in several categories including academic excellence, co-scholastic achievements, all-round performance and perfect attendance. Ms Brinda Goradia Shroff inaugurated the award ceremony by presenting prizes to the successful students of class 11. Each awardee was celebrated on stage with applause, their achievements shining as examples of dedication and discipline.
The School's sporting achievements were celebrated in the ‘Sports Awards’ segment, where students who brought laurels at the zonal, national, and international levels were honoured. Students were acknowledged for their outstanding contributions and were awarded sports scholarships in recognition of their achievements.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a collective rendition of the national anthem, marking a fitting end to a day of celebration and pride.
Recognition Day stands as a powerful affirmation of the values of perseverance, effort, and excellence. It not only celebrates past achievements but also inspires all students to dream big and push their boundaries. The day ended with happy smiles, proud moments and lasting memories, a truly unforgettable experience for all involved.
