Top honours at inter school IT symposium

The Indian School added another glorious chapter to its legacy of excellence with a stellar performance at the 26th Dewang Mehta Memorial IT Symposium (DMMITS 2026), held on 7 August 2026 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mehta Vidyalaya. Organised in collaboration with NASSCOM, the prestigious symposium brought together some of the brightest young minds from over 45 schools, offering a dynamic platform to celebrate innovation, creativity, technological expertise and entrepreneurial thinking.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation in a wide range of competitions, including Pitchstorm, AI WebForge, Graphica (CWSN), Surprise (Valorant) and Debug Duel. Demonstrating exceptional talent, confidence and ingenuity, our students distinguished themselves through remarkable achievements across multiple categories.

In Debug Duel, a highly competitive technology quiz, Aaryan Sehgal (Class X-A) and Tanmay Virmani (Class X-E) secured the First Position. Their impressive command over technology and computing concepts, coupled with sharp analytical skills and quick reasoning, enabled them to outperform participants from numerous schools.

Adding to the School’s success, Hitansh Sharma (Class X-B) and Vivaan Kautia (Class XI-A) won the First Position in Pitchstorm. Their innovative project, Gyaan Setu, showcased a visionary approach to bridging the educational divide between rural and urban communities through the effective use of Artificial Intelligence and collaborative learning tools. Their thoughtful presentation and impactful idea earned high appreciation from the judges.

Further, Arnavjeet Singh (Class X-E) secured the Third Position in Rebrand X, a competition centred on logo design and visual communication. Through his creative flair and keen understanding of brand identity, he developed a compelling design that effectively conveyed the intended message and stood out among numerous entries.

The students’ outstanding performance at DMMITS 2026 is a testament to their dedication, innovation and passion for learning.
